INTEL:
Ex-Spetznaz (Soviet Special Forces) Colonel Drago, and his private army of former Spetznaz and other mercenaries called красная рука, or The RED HAND, were crushed by US and NATO forces in its attempt to overthrow the post-soviet democracy, spearheaded by the mysterious FIRFOX.
As NATO forces withdrew to other hotspots under political pressure, Drago disappeared and a coup within the RED HAND organization materialized. Vadim "Zeke" Zekirov, the new ruthless leader of the syndicate is said to have ties with smugglers, weapons dealers and even South American Drug Lords. did however succeed in sending the country into political chaos, slowly crumbling the fragile government with the help of the Russian Mob and according to some rumors, current FSB and former KGB operatives.
Retreating to the RED HAND stronghold Sherwostein to rebuild his forces, Zekirov has threatened to tip the nuclear and political balance in his quest for power. He also intends to install a communist government, but more pressing, he plans to sell former Soviet nuclear warheads, missile systems and other sensitive materials to the highest bidders, this time with the help of his new underworld allies.
As many former Soviet governments are beginning to slip back into communism, the US has backed a new rising opposition force of pro-democracy military forces under the command of the charismatic new leader, Codenamed FIREFOX. With popular support from the people, and the US, the mysterious FIREFOX has managed to bring the fight to RED HAND and continues the fight against Communism.
The Russians still refuse to interfere, due to "political pressures" so it is now up to the US and NATO to resolve this issue. A US Ranger detachment has again been dispatched in a support role to assist FIREFOXs Forces and secure any nuclear or biological weapons, and to eliminate or bring Col. Zekirov to trial while neutralizing the The Red Hand...
